Thanks to Steve and Maggie for hospitality and post brew munchies (Wing Stop goodness!). The black IPA turned out nice and dark, and we dropped a ton of simcoe and amarillo hops in to steep at the end of the boil. The wort had an aggressive IPA flavor, with just a tiny hint of roastiness from the Carafa added to the sparge. The Sinamar did its job. I'm looking forward to tasting this IPA.
