After mellowing a bit, the CitraIPA has turned into a wonderful ale. There is no more cattiness in the aroma, and the flavor explodes with a tropical fruit - a mango like quality. It's very yummy!

After tasting the Citra IPA, I've discovered that they have similar properties to Simcoe hops. The ale has a cattiness very much like the single hop brew I did in the past with Simcoes.

It was a good brew day! I used the entire brick of Citra hops (with 5 ounces in reserve for dry hopping) in the brew and they have a unique aroma in the boil. Citrusy yet spicy. Very nice!

I pretty much hit my numbers. OG was 1.070 and the projected was 1.071, so all in all, a good day:)

I can't wait to taste this ale.
