Three Sheets…

Three SheetsA while back, while doing a totally unrelated web search, I came across a TV show called Three Sheets (as in three sheets to the wind). The show broadcasts on the HD channel MOJO. The host, Zane Lamprey, goes to a different country in every episode, learns about the local alcoholic beverages, drinks to excess with the locals – and learns the local drinking customs, and then eats whatever the local hangover cure is the next morning. You can view all of the episodes online, if you have a decent broadband connection, on Hulu, but I really dislike watching TV on a computer monitor, so I bought Season 1 and Season 2 of Three Sheets on DVD. So far, I’m still working on Season 1, and I particularly like the episodes on Wales, Belize and Belgium. I believe Season 3 is in progress and is not yet available on DVD.

Zane is a real character and his expressions on the show can be priceless. Zane is currently offering regional pub crawls, called ZaneCrawls, to those that have the stamina to keep up. It is expensive, but it is all inclusive and covers hotel, food, all you can drink, bus travel between the various venues and Zane schwag. The pub crawls have already happened in Los Angeles and New York, with future events scheduled in Boston Chicago and San Francisco. The San Francisco event is running October 17-19, 2008, runs $1650 a pop, but will be a once in a lifetime event. Anyone want to go? 🙂

DadOh – and happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there – particularly my Dad:) My Dad is a class act – and much of who I am came from his guidance and values.

He’s coming over this evening for brats and beer!
